  1. I mostly attended the Calvacade of Authors to visit one author in particular, Patrick Carman. This author turned out to be my favorite one to visit. Although the food wasn't that great, I enjoyed the experience. I recommend anybody who loves to read or write to go to this event because of the good experience and the opportunity to meet these talented authors.

I attened Calvacade of Authors because I also attended last year in eighth grade and it was absolutly amazing. I personally love to read, so why not go to a field trip where I can meet new people that also love to read! My favorite author was Ally Condie, I enjoyed her most because she had just enough of everything in her presentation. For example she talked about her book and how she got her ideas but also about herself and her life. The lunch provided wasnt that great I took my own but im hoping next year we should take pizza like another did. I recommend this field trip to another student because it is a great experience and if you love to read you can meet some of the authors of the great books that you love!

  3. i attended calvacade of authors because i wanted to meet matt de la pena, he is my favorite author. i have read a couple of his books and they were great. i would like to go again next year because it was such a good oppurtunity to meet these authors and there background stories and the books. i wish the layout of how the authors were could be more closer together, and have better lunch, i would recommend this to anyone who loves to read, write talk to authors because it is a great experience.

  4. My favorite speaker was Matt De La Pena. I loved how he told all the stories about his books. He even told us stories that were from his life and put into the books. I loved how he told us all about his life and how he was living as he wrote the books. I wish that we would have had some extra time writing with the authors, but the time we had was precious and well spent. A student next year should go because it is a GREAT opportunity to learn how authors live and where they get their ideas. It is a good was to learn the process of writing a novel and it was soo awesome to learn about the authors and just talk to them.
