•Read through the article which contains multiple editorials (writing designed to have an opinion) about the idea of a minimum wage increase in Washington
•After you have read through the article once, reread it by skimming and scanning and mark the text for the information you feel is most relevant. I suggest you read over the worksheet before rereading to target your markings.
•When you are finished reading, complete the worksheet for this reading. Turn it in when you are finished. Hole punch the reading and put it in your class binder.

•If you finish early, work on your anchor assignment…reading for your book talk term 3.

Continue working on Game of Life Packet.
If you did not finish your research furnishing your home, finish that research today.
Using netgrocer.com, price out the cost of your grocery list. If you are unable to find the prices, you might need to make a visit to a local grocery store. You can also look for ads posted in the newspaper.
If you finish grocery shopping, you may begin the buying the ride activity. You will need to calculate the cost of your loan using this link: http://www.bankrate.com/calculators/auto/auto-loan-calculator.aspx 

Tuesday, February 4th
You will need to find the cost of the various items you need to furnish your home. Start by thinking about what your character NEEDS first before you start pricing out the cost of things you want. You will also need to think about where you are going "shopping". Consider how much money you have to spend. You might need to look at buying things at a discount at places like Biglots or Walmart or even second-hand at places like Goodwill or other thrift stores.  Remember, you are welcome to visit actual stores to price out your goods.

Make a list of what you "need" and "want" to furnish your house in your Game of Life Packet. Consider your character and their family when making decisions.
Create a weekly grocery list. Be sure to not only include a week's worth of food but also what you need as far as toiletries
