Late work quarter 3 due by Tuesday, March 25th!

If you have any late or missing work from quarter 3 it MUST be turned in by Tuesday, March 25th and it must include a late pass. This is a solid deadline! Work turned in after this date will NOT be accepted for credit. Please plan ahead and if you are failing, I suggest you attend Saturday school to get caught up!

Library Writing Contest Extra Credit

Quarter 3 Topic: Comedy/Humor

Minimum 100 words, can be a story, a poem, a song, any type of creative writing, just incorporate the topic of comedy/humor.

Due: On or before April 11th to the library (and a copy to Mrs. Jarvis!)

Worth 15 points extra credit!

Extra Credit! Cavalcade of Authors Book Signing- Barnes and Noble

On Thursday, March 13th, Barnes and Noble in the Columbia Center Mall will be hosting a book signing with the authors from the Cavalcade of Authors at 5:00pm. To earn extra credit, you must both attend this event and reply to this post talking about your experiences at the event. This activity also doubles as a bulldog hour opportunity!

1st semester grades posted!

All assignments have been graded and entered into Powerschool. Please look over your grades and let me know of any questions or concerns when we return to school on Tuesday, January 28th.  Students who did not earn enough points to get course credit will be contacted about credit retrieval options sometime next week. Enjoy your 3 day weekend.

The end is near...get your late work in!

The end of the semester is rapidly approaching! If you have any late or missing work it MUST be submitted by no later than Friday, January 17th during class. I WILL NOT accept any work after school!  Also, be sure to include a late pass on your assignment. You are allowed four missing assignments per quarter.

But, what if you are out of late passes? Turn it in anyway but know that it will NOT be graded UNLESS you need the points to earn a passing grade. Be sure to check the blog for all of the handouts and resources you need and to see Mrs. Jarvis ASAP with any questions. Don't wait until the last minute.  Good luck and "may the odds be ever in your favor".

Here's hoping that you have a happy and safe holiday and looking forward to seeing all of you in the new year. Make sure to take some time to be thankful and to appreciate the important people in your life, whoever they might be. Be sure to get caught up if you have missing work.
